I know that they had a Viper Fly-by at the decommissioning of Galactica. I was just wondering if someone would give me details about the fly by. Back then I was not look at details and I do not have the miniseries to find out. I was looking at how many vipers were in the fly-by plus if they were divided into groups and how many were in that group. I am going to start collecting the series on DVD starting with the Miniseries tomorrow. However, If I can find the answer now, I really appreciate it. I have theory about the dying leader.

Easy answer. The squadron that was wiped out by the Cylons after the ceremony... Except Lee, who was flying his father's old Viper.

Battlestars usually hold squadrons of twenty, plus Lee makes twenty-one...might not be correct in this particular case, though.

It a funny thought though we only know or have seen like half the Viper pilots because every time they launch all Vipers There is way more Vipers than humans in the CAG briefing room and in that room some of them are solely Raptor Pilots to boot.

Well now we probably have a decent set up. Since Pegasus was empty when Lee sent her flying into those Basestars. So now the Galactica has quite a healthy supply of Raptors, Vipers and pilots I would imagine.
As for what we see on screen, I would tend to agree. It may not be 100% accurate, but I bet it's not wildly over either.

Right but I mean they could make a movie on what the BSG Pilots do all day aboard Galactica and I would watch it?

I was looking at the specific fly-by by the vipers at the decomissioning ceremony of Galactica . Not the how vipers are on a battlestar. The reason I was asking because of this.
h (http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Pythia)ttp://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Pythia (http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Pythia)
Key to Pythia's writings are two passages, relating to the exile and rebirth of the human race:
"And the Lords anointed a leader to guide the caravan of the heavens to their new homeland. And unto the leader, they gave a vision of serpents, numbering two and ten, as a sign of things to come."So it has to be at specific ceremony

It's the attack on the tylium asteroid that Pythia refers to, because there's also more to the text that you didn't include:
In the second passage, Pythia foretells of an initial battle in which the Colonials are "lead by serpents two and ten" and are victorious over their foes. During their flight from the Cylons (http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Cylons_%28RDM%29), the Colonials are forced to attack a Cylon base in order to obtain fuel (http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Tylium). The attack is lead by twelve Vipers (http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Viper_%28RDM%29) (The Hand of God (http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/The_Hand_of_God_%28RDM%29)). However, Pythia's writings on the battle fortells it leading to a larger confrontation, this time "at the home of the Gods (http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Kobol_%28RDM%29)." And where would I find the pilot roster and in which episode?

The episode Kat dies in when they show her being honored as CAG, you can see a lot of the names of the pilots there. I dunno if they ever show a roster though.

Season 4 Episode Six of One has Lee in the readyroom - you can see pilot names on the board
The ones that are clear enough (still not 100% sure) for me to list are:
Digger
Famous
Rocket
Stinger - is this Pegasus Stinger?
Sniper
Sharky
Hotdog

Ya I was looking at that and I knew that's what you probably meant.

The Stinger is probably the same as the Pegasus one because he would've been on Galactica after the Pegasus was no more.

Well, we probably do see them on-screen, just not identified as such. :) I wonder if they'll give us the Tattooed pilot's name this season (which reminds me to add him to the Demetrius article in the wiki).

I would like to know his name it might even be one of them that we saw? Is there any names referring to tattoo's or to marking's?
Ausir
April 19th, 2008, 10:33 PM
Well, one of his tattoos is a tiger, so he might be Analy "Feline" Amante. None of the other ones seem to refer to the tattoos.

Thank you for all those who were trying to help. The reason I asked this question was I had a theory. However, I now realized that this theory was wrong
IF you want to know my theory here it was
Adama was the dying leader
I put it in spoiler tags because of the chance I am right. which it is not

That would be impossible it's obviously Roslin! JK But even in the beginning an throughout the entire series it's either said or implied that Roslin has cancer but of what type I'm not sure?

You immature noob!... or am I being the immature one?:lol::lol::lol:
Does it actually say that in the series?

It's implied in the miniseries with the Doc talking about the mass being malignant and her clutching her chest and crying on Colonial one.
She also comes right out and says "I have terminal breast cancer". In season 2 Doc also says that the cancer has spread well beyond the left breast. I believe that was in the episodes just prior to her miracle cure from Hera's blood.
