And I am pumped up! Baseball is one of my favorite sports. And as John knows, I am a New York Yankees fan. Though I would love to see the Mets and the Yanks goto the world series since it's their final season at their respected stadiums.

Whoo! I can't wait to watch my team do semi-well for a while then drop like a rock. Good ol' team.

Go Astros and/or Rangers!! (Even though I know they won't)

THis year I bought a year subscription to MLB.TV since I am not living in NY, I don't get any of the games. So now I have access to all the games minus the Nats and the O's. No big loss there. Though.. I rather watch the Nats than the O's.

Yeah I get most of the games via Time Warner Cable (otherwise known as the Galactic Empire), but I only watch a few. I find that baseball is good to have on in the background while you're doing other things. That way, if something interesting happens, you can always run into the living room. Although truthfully, the best way to see a good baseball game is in person, hands down.;)

No question about that.

Good old baseball games. The food always tastes so good at them.

Ah well, at least we can hold this over the Yankees fans!

Whoah whoah, I do believe the Philly teams in general are quite good at raising hopes then screwing up. We can do it in any sport too!

Oh come on, we were one game away from winning the World Series (and don't kid yourself, Indians vs Red Sox was the World Series, they were the best teams in baseball and whoever won was going to go on to shut out the Rockies), and we just imploded, THREE GAMES IN A ROW we threw away for no reason at all.

Just like ten years earlier, Indians vs Marlins, we were two outs from winning it all and we bring out Jose Mesa so he can start throwing the ball into the dirt.

Since I could not watch NYY and BOS play in the ALCS I did however goto a CLE v BOS game during the ALCS. I went with my former roommate from college who was from CLE. It was scary cause we really couldn't root for CLE.

I went to Game 2 of that series, the one in Boston where we beat them by like 7 runs in extra innings. God, it was glorious, best game I've ever been to, and probably ever will go to. I swear I was the ONLY Indians fan in the entire stadium, I looked for others during the entire game.

I want to ask my roommate if I went to the same game. We left early because it was a pretty pointless game after BOS was totally winning.

At least you got a great sport to watch. My only choice is between Formula 1 and Soccer.

Formula 1? Haha! Lets watch cars go around in circles. Sorry Nascar fans, I just don't get it.

I don't think so. Granted you're team is pretty bad about that, but we're just as bad. Us Houston fans have been waiting 46 years for just one World Series win (ok, you've been waiting longer I know, but at least you've had one, no two). In the past 10 seasons we've made it to the playoffs 6 times, and held one pennant and still no World Series win. Just watch, we'll start off slow and then all of the sudden be unstoppable, and then for no apparent reason, the ship sinks. That's why we call them the Lastros.

You've never thrown a World Series for no good reason at all. TWICE we've done that now.

Isn't it fun having these arguments about whose team sucks harder?

ShadowEnigma

lol yes. So much better then arguing whose is better.

haha it is fun. Nobody said being a baseball fan was easy. At least I can take solice in the fact that at the moment my team sucks harder than your team. But at least it's not the San Francisco Giants.

Gran Prix > Formula 1 > Getting kicked in the balls > NASCAR

Now if you REALLY want to see some good racing, watch club racing. Of course, that's not televised, you have to actually be there...which really is part of the experience! Nothing like feeling an unmuffled air-cooled Porsche flat six screaming by, echoing off the concrete!

I'd rather roll around on the carpet, but thanks :)

Never got into the whole car racing thing. It gets boring to me after a while. I'd rather just race myself then watch.

Soccer or football (depends on a place) socks :D everytime there is Euro or World Championship suddenly it's like a World War. When the team loses it's as if the whole country lost. I remember World Championship in 2002 in Korea and Japan. We lost with almost everyone in our group. And when everybody knew we're going home, we won in the last game with the USA. Great game guys. Last game... didn't change anything but hey, at least you scored in the 3rd and 5th minute.
So although nobody in my family watches football, when there's Euro or WC you gotta watch. If you don't you're almost a traitor to your country :>

P.S. I played baseball twice in my life and i was amazing. I wasted my favorite pair of jeans and a shirt, and I thought my mom will kill me when she saw me all covered in grass but it was worth it. Baseball and American football are two best team sports in the world :)
