Weirdest Star Trek rumor yet: Leonard Nimoy's Spock appears in the new movie, not as a time traveler... but as a ghost! [TrekWeb (http://trekweb.com/articles/2008/03/26/Leonard-Nimoy-Injured-His-Nosenbspon-His-Last-Day-of-Filming-Spoilers.shtml)]

Meanwhile, Ain't It Cool News posted some images of a shuttlecraft and its control panel from the Star Trek set, but pulled them almost immediately at Paramount's request. But not before a dozen other sites had posted them. [Sci Fi Cool (http://www.scificool.com/first-look-at-star-trek-11s-shuttle-set/)]

Cool! I see they just couldn't resist hi-flying computer displays, but it's nice to see that some of the classic look is still present. I wonder if Abrams will keep the old monotonal computer voice from the Original Series as well.

He better. That voice was awesome, as well as the computer noises.

I wonder if Abrams will keep the old monotonal computer voice from the Original Series as well.According to Memory Alpha (http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Computer_voice), Majel Barrett (who played Number One and Nurse Chapel in TOS, and Lwaxana Troi in TNG and DS9) plays the computer voice in TOS too... Albeit distorted and mechanical sounding.

I actually did not know that till now.
