Hi all,
I play a system which is a little bit different from the norm.
Instead of table top or forum based RP games I play Science Fiction Live Action Role Play (LARP) who use Laser Tag systems to resolve any combat situations.
This meens that I play a character throughout a game (typically 3 hours) and respond as that character would to the situation. I've played Marines, Doctors and Engineers but could play anything in different games like a politition, zombie, vicar well anything really.
We can try to talk our way through things but sometimes the bullets need to fly and thats where the laser tag system comes in.
These games are run by a bunch of Sci-Fi fans not a profit making organisation. The next big game is set for the last Bank Holiday weekend in May.
The reason I post this here is this years main theme for the games is Battlestar Galactica. This meens at least 4 slots of three hours each will be filled with a continuing plot. Characters needed in game include Command, Marines, Tek Crew, Viper pilots and Civillian advisers.
I've put to the organisers that I want to be a colonial reporter (its a type of civvilian advisor after all). I probably won't be armed (boooh!) but I will have a few opertunities to stick my nose in on command and access to go forward with any personal agendas I may have.
That is as long as I don't get killed by a Frakin' Toaster.
