Anyone here ever play(ed) Homeworld2? Well its an amazing RTS either way, and its gotten its own Homeworld 2 mod. Its still in beta phase so its not all done and it has a few bugs, but its pretty damn cool. It has most if not all the craft seen in the show, as well as a few fan-made craft and battlestars.

http://www.battlestarmod.com/ has the official trailer on the front page. Searching on Searching YouTube will reveal a plethora of hits for in game videos.

I'd seriously suggest trying it, the best thing it does is make you feel like you are playing the show. Basic AI has just been implemented too.

The crashing issue has been resolved for the PC but not for the Mac yet (I believe).

If you keep having problems with version 0.3.6 then I'd suggest de-fragging your hard drive, that should fix it.

Before you get the wrong impression I'm not a mod-team member. I just love the mod and am a regular at their forum.

You do need HW2 to play, but it is dirt cheap (where you can find it) and well worth it on its own.

The mod will only work for a month, you can't use old unofficial realeases. There was a problem with bastards putting malware and spy shit in copied unofficial files. Only get it from sourceforge and follow the instructions for the type of download you chose (.rar or .big) to the letter and you should be fine.
