So, I figure to inaugurate the new Music forum, we can argue about who's music is better!

For me, it's straight classic rock. Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Rolling Stones, that kind of stuff.

I just listen to what ever is playing on XRM (http://www.xrmradio.com) radio. I like all songs played there.

Interesting choices there... That's a decent enough station in my opinion.

My music tastes are a bit more eclectic -- anything that's disco, rap, emo, or country is pretty much off the list and left tucked nicely inside the event horizon of a massive black hole.

Except Johnny Cash. He doesn't count as country, IMHO.

As for bands of preference, I'll go with what I currently listen to: The Killers, Radiohead, Thom Yorke (who is basically Radiohead anyway), stuff from the BSG and The Prisoner soundtracks, some Beck, and Nine Inch Nails.

Other than that, my play list ranges from the soft stuff like Jack Johnson and Norah Jones to psychedelic stuff Pink Floyd and David Gilmour to other stuff like AFI, Evanescence, Breaking Benjamin. Of course, I also have the classics, including Moody Blues, Beatles, and Brian Wilson/Beach Boys.

I'm also expanding into jazz and blues and some of the older easy listening stuff, like Sinatra.

As a postscript to all that... I also find myself listening to "Secret Agent Man" by Johnny Rivers at least twice a day for some reason.

And I'll admit, I have a fondness for hilariously bad 80s music.
