Has anyone ever read this most excellent graphic novel?

They're also coming out with an animated film that will be released on February 28th:

It was already leaked out via Divx steaming somewhere. I think it is a legal "copy", but still unsure. It was a good flick. I really liked the Hal Jordan story-line.

comics are NOT booksErm, to what are you referring to?

My posting about a comic book in the Colonial Library or my use of the word "graphic novel" or both? Or just a general dislike of the medium itself?

My two cents, I believe comics are books. They are a natural progression in merging pictures and words together in a printed medium, which is still effective today. Hell, if you really look at it, film is a progression of the comic. From the early days of "nickelodeons" (not that horrible kids channel), to silent pictures, to full fledged audio and video... all film and television are is a form of comic. Instead of word bubbles, you have actual audio dialogue, and each second consists of 24 to 29 frames hitting the eye in rapid succession.

Granted, there are a lot of sub-par comics out there that have flooded the market, but there are some excellent comics as well. "Sin City", "Batman" and others are a few I can name.

I guess it really depends on taste. To each their own...

i like comics and grapic novels (sandman is great, awesome, breathtaking) ... and well this comment was just pure anger (about something totaly different) transformed in an arogant comment about the inferiority of comics (dam... spelling...i hate grammar and spelling)
