After seeing Razor, I was wandering!?! Since the show is drama based and different from the original. In my opinion, it would be logical that humanity is destroyed at the end.
Because of what the hybrid, in Razor, stated: - all this happened before and will happen again, again, ... -
Meaning that this hybrid was aware of a loop in time. Could the Cylon resurrection process be responsible for this loop?
During the last events of the destruction of humanity, could it be possible that some human form Cylons resurrected back in time? Some in the bodies of centurions? Because of the mechanical nature of the
centurions, maybe only part of the consciousness was downloaded. Both cases would explain some things:
a) The creation of the first five Cylons.
b) Why the Cylons became sentient forty years ago. Sharon Agathon said that the new mechanical Centurions are not sentient by design. That is to prevent rebellion. So if the humans would have been responsible for the Cylons being sentient, then they could have made none sentient versions to help them combat in the war. The rebel Cylons would have been outnumbered, by humans and none sentient Cylons. Since it did not happen, it implies, in my opinion that the humans of that era, did not understand, why the Cylons became sentient in the first place. It would be like, someone's computer becomming sentient out of the blue. If would defy logic and science. If logic and science could not be applied than control could not be assured. For the military that would be a very good reason to put aside research on artificial intelligence.
c) Why the thirteen tribe in the first place. Why would a bunch of humans decide to colonize a far distant planet and leave clues behind? Why all the secrets? Once that bunch of humans finds a planet, why not make jumps (FTL) and have dialogs and trade with the other colonies? Since it is not the case, maybe some members of the thirteen tribe, knew something and decide to save their skins. The questions is: How did they know? The only way for them to know is to be aware of the loop in time and the evidence must be so convincing that it made an entire tribe leave.
d) With all the might that the Cylons have, how come they did not make an overkill attack on the Galactica and the fleet. For a while they where following the Galactica. So why hesitate? Like it is said in the show, they have a plan. Since, there is no evidence that the cylons followed the Pegasus, before it met the Galatica. It means that some cylons are aware of the time loop and are counting on the Galactica to follow its destiny.
It is my first time I'm posting here, it was my two cents on that show.:)
