Uhh, I'm going to have to be the one that stands up for Dylan here. I love the Hendrix version, and the new one, but Dylan... come on.

And I can't believe DMB did a cover of it, what a disgrace (apologies in advance to any dave mathew's fans out there).

As far as favorite tracks, I'm going to have to go with Allegro, Prelude to War and Roslin and Adama (although i think the version in the show is better).

Oh come on... Dylan is a brilliant songwriter, but his voice is utterly horrible.

I agree, but I wouldn't go so far as to say "utterly horrible".

I must say that when I heard the music for the first time I was surprised. Before BSG soundtrack the only music to a TV show I liked was Xena by Joseph LoDuca (some tunes you can even hear in BSG) :D

I have to say Admiral and Commander, Storming New Caprica and Kat's Sacrifice are among my favorites.

I don't tend to get soundtracks to TV shows all that often, my last would have been as Aylinn stated above the Xena soundtracks by Joseph LoDuca, they were some of the best I've heard.

I'm surprised noone said "Martial Law" from the Season Two album. Even though its short, that is hands down my favorite BSG track ever (I love it when they will sometimes play a few chords from it in other episodes later on). I'd have to say my second favorite track is "Something Dark Is Coming" from the season two soundtrack.

Joseph LoDuca is a genius. The scores he did for X:WP are beautiful. The main title for example. I love the exotic, tribal amazon feel to the lot of them, the Bulgarian choir, its all very innovative and not at all run-of-the-mill epic sort of instrumentals.

Totally agree with you. Even at times when I was a big anti-fan of Xena (fortunatelly I'm not anymore) I liked the main title and thought it was very good :)

The only one I ahve to far is season one & it was actually an accidental purchase. I can't stop listening to it! I don't know that I can pick just one TBH. Walk on My Friends always makes me well up.

The song I really like is 'Colonial Anthem' it's in the BSG Season 2 CD.
When I heard that song in the serie I was shocked because it was the original opening song for the old serie.

I really like this and my 2nd choice would be the Main Title (UK) version wich is in the BSG Season 1 CD.

To be honest i think all of the tracks are great, although there's something about the 3rd season that just has me in a trance!!! i cant go a minute without humming all along the watchtower!!!!!!!!!!
