fictional universe wikis are insanely popular - Memory Alpha [memory-alpha.org] (The Star Trek wiki) beats all but a handful of the european language wikipediae, and the battlesar galactica wiki is even bigger.

Hmm.... Cool, but we're not bigger in terms of articles or users; Memory-Alpha has nearly 26,000 articles in English, we've got almost 2,600. ;-)

Well we will never have anything near the article count of Memory Alpha...all we have is four seasons, a few comic books, a few webisodes, and possibly Caprica. Maybe.

Memory Alpha has six televisions series spanning...well crap, I can't even remember how many seasons, something like twelve movies, innumerable books...there's just so much material. We don't have as much information to write down.

I wouldn't get concerned about article count anyway. As you pointed out, there's no contest, but also I'd rather be judged by how well we cover the six seasons (counting TOS... and grudgingly 1980). I'll take quality over quantity any day.
