Perhaps this is closer to the "stable" version of wikipedia in Joe's proposed BSD-like model:

Veropedia? That almost sounds like a Wiki on my current town of Vero Beach, FL. LOL
Veropedia's got the right idea, but bad implementation. They shouldn't have to wait for Wikipedia to be "done" with the article; they need to set up their own "unstable", so they can edit it themselves off Wikipedia. Once they're done vetting through the article, they can promote it to "stable" and even share the results back to Wikipedia.

I think it's genius. While Wikipedia is certainly a useful resource, it's not what I consider an "encyclopedia". If this Veropedia works and takes off, it should use the strengths of Wikipedia to build an actual encyclopedia. I'm looking forward to using this.
