Season 3 Region 1 (US/CAN) DVD

Has there been any word - any, whatsoever - on when the season 3 DVDs are going to be released? I watched the first 2 seasons on DVD and was hoping to catch up with season 3 so I could watch season 4 as it aired. It seems absured to me that the DVDs have been released for other countries and not here in the U.S. - and I can find absolutely no word on why they haven't been released or when they will be. Thanks for any info.

Here are the BSG DVD releases that I'm aware of...

Razor will be out on DVD December 4th.
BSG Season 1 - HD DVD on December 4th.
BSG 1980 will be released on December 26th?
BSG Season 3 tentatively scheduled for April 08.

Universal is releasing three BSG related DVD sets in December.
I guess they didn't want to flood the market with too much BSG stuff.

IMO, if they're going to hold off on S3 to coincide with the start of S4, they should release the DVD's in Feb/March to give current and potentially new fans a chance to go through S3 before S4 begins.

Because Universal seems to like Frakking with BSG fans.

Probably not, but I can wage consumer warfare on them and not buy the series and disuade other BSG fans I know to do the same.

Adding insult to injury:

I cannot find this anywhere else yet, but a skiffy member found a listing for a Region 4, 16 DVD Box set with a December release date. That's the mini and all three seasons for about $88 US.

Like the UK PAL discs, it is not going to have any of the usual Region 1 bonus features.

That new box art didn't come out of nowhere. I'd expect the same box set, with Region 1 NTSC and full bonus features, to be out in April.

This is a disappointment. It makes no sense to me for them to wait. I can see releasing Season 3 shortly before Season 4 so as to build excitement but why after Season 4 has started just baffles me.:confused:
