View Full Version : Galactica Propulsion - Ion Drive?

One of the things I noticed about the original Galactica was the configuration of it's propulsion system. It looked a lot like an ion drive system.. Main thrusters with a neutralize above. Could it be that it is an ion drive? (I worked on one many years ago...).

It would make the most sense. The sad part is that the show really didn't strive for even some semblance of scientific accuracy, then again most shows of the time really didn't.

Regardless, I do see what you're saying. And actually the person running the Tecr.com website created a "Battlestar Galactica Tech Manual" trying to explain the science of the show.
