There won't be any HD-DVD versions of "Razor", despite Amazon.com and other online retailers earlier claims.

What none ever or just none planned for this financial year?

Uh...are we getting it on Blu-Ray?
Also, is the show filmed in HD? I don't get any HD channels so I wouldn't know if it was...although I think some shows that aren't even run in HD are being filmed in HD in anticipation of later viewing.

As far as I know, BSG won't be released in Blu-Ray. Just HD.
Anyway, the show is filmed in HD. There was an article on it a while back when the crew mentioned new techniques they had to use because the series was filmed in HD. Can't remember the link, but you should be able to Google it.

It's silly not to realease this series in HD. This is the exact target market they are trying to get their players to. It would certainly deciede which media format I'd be interested in. Any and all science fiction shows should prove a boon to cult fans, who market alone would be a severe blow to Blu-Ray.

It will be interesting to see Razor is broadcast in HD on SciFi-HD in November. Most news shows on SciFi (Stargate Atlantis & Flash Gordon) are broadcast in HD.
They may also choose to re-run Razor in December on Universal HD.
I'm just disappointed that the Razor Flashbacks are all in SD. :(

RDM? said somewhere they film and post in HD, but when the show is edited in Final Cut it's done in and for 4:3 letterbox. That might explain the very lengthy delays about releasing seasons in HD. I noticed when ripping the Razor flashback it is not a perfect sized 16:9 to 4:3 letterbox conversion. Might just be my el cheapo DVR :)
Otherwise, I'm really baffled why they didn't prepare for simultaneously releasing a HD version of a Direct-to-DVD movie.
But that has to change since Sci Fi is fully expecting to simulcast season four episodes on Sci Fi HD next year. The Ten/Sky HD episodes were all on a delayed schedule right?

They're milking it. LOL
I think they're going to roll "Razor" into the Season 4 HD-DVD box set, should it be released.

Possibly Joe but unlikely, not when they can get another $20 out of fans for selling it seperately.

I was just scrolling through the DIRECTV Guide for SciFi HD and noticed that Razor is going to be broadcast in SD (Standard Def).

While I don't have a HD television or any of those services, I have to say that hearing that sucks!
