I liked it. One of the standout moments was the scene of Adama's return to CIC.

I liked Starbuck's adventure in the "hospital." It showed the Cylon hunger for more "human"-ness, even as they were trying to exterminate the human race. The way they were trying to create hybrid children reminds me of the Frank Herbert "Dune" series, and how the Bene Gesserit were trying to breed a "savior."

I liked this episode a lot... Kara's hair aside, which makes me wince every time I watch it...

The only thing I wish they'd done was to make it more obvious that a week had passed since Resistance and that Kara and Helo had been with the Resistance group for a while. Perhaps it was just me, but it came across the first time as if Kara and Sam had literally known each other for a day and hooked up for one night and yet she was so upset about leaving him. Perhaps that's one of the reasons why that relationship never sold to me.
Another is that I think it was quite a strange move to set up the Starbuck-Anders arc when they'd spent the entirety of Season 1 (not to mention the opening scene of KLG Part 1) playing on the Lee-Kara will-they-won't-they thing.

Nevertheless, loved the glass-stabbing and fire extinguisher-mashing, and some of the back story we get on Starbuck. Sets up Home Part 1 great, which is one of my favourite episodes.

Excellent point.

It is really ironic isn't it, that Starbuck only begins to come to terms with her abused childhood through her interactions with the Cylons. Simon mentioning the broken fingers, and then Leoben. Makes you wonder about Colonial society - maybe Kara "fell through the cracks" of the system, and nobody ever reported her case to Child Protective Services. Yet another way in which by showing the ugly parts of humans, the series is able to soar above all the turkeys out there.

Strange episode. It blew me away on first watch but this time round I knew what was coming and it wasn't so amazing.

I liked Adama's little "you'll see her again, Chief" chat with Tyrol. Hope. And they've come so close yet not quite met up again. Yet to come, I think.

Caprica Sharon's reappearance in the woods really nailed the difference between her and Boomer I thought. Park got on top of the Cylon thing in this episode.

Not much more to say from me really - excellent rescue from Sharon.

Oh yeah - the "why" thing. Olmos is outstanding in that scene. It really showed the desperation of the humans' plight.

Oh yeah - the "destiny" thing. Meaningful.

Just watched it. Bad news for me. Simon knowing that Anders was a professional sports star is pretty strong evidence for him being a cylon. Frak.
Some good comments in the other posts in this thread. I like what BSGfanatic says about Kara only ever making sense of her past through her interactions with cylons. I remember during her interrogation of Leoben, when he turns the tables on her, he strips her soul bare in a thirty second dissection of her life.
The only other thing really was Billīs scene with Chief and then Bomerīs body. We really begin to see him thinking of the cylons not as machines but people. He was crying because a person he loved tried to kill him.

I'm not following that. Caprica Six used to buy two tickets to go and watch the sports games, always wishing that Baltar was with her. She would have known that Anders was a sportsman. Isn't it possible that there was a Simon planted somewhere in Caprican society, going to the games? Don't lose faith. These Cylons are tricksier than you think.

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding you, but at this point in the show, I don't think Simon or any of the other cylons know who any of the 'Final Five' are

Yīknow, I am not sure myself what I wanted to say. You are right that they donīt know, but how did Simon know the details of Anderīs past. Anders is a resistance fighter. I would have thought that if they had known aboot him, they woulda stopped him.

Really good, as are all the first seven episodes of Season 2, a lot of things are happening at once and there's no sign of it slowing down. Yet.

Farm, pretty creepy.

I love the clap from Baltar when Adama returns.

Sharon trying to defend the cylons raping women was pretty pathetic, even for a cylon.

And I LOVE the ending scene with the brilliant A Promise to Return.
