Timbo Tech Issues

I've been in touch with Timbo today. He's fine, still in Leicester at his folks'. He's tried to get on the forum but his dad's PC (IE I suppose) say "server can't find the site", or possibly the IE equivalent of "server not responding".

Anyone got any idea why Windows/IE would do that?

I suggested he dl Firefox in case it's an IE cache thing (given the DNS issues that occurred a few weeks ago) but I really don't know what the problem is or how to fix it.

Google and hotmail seem to work for him.

We've actually had complaints of ISPs not having updated DNS information....

If Timbo can send you information on his present ISP in Leicester, then we can probably figure out if this is the case.

He says it's Plus.net (owned by BT). I couldn't get the IP address that "ping www.battlestarforum.com" resolves to out of him.
