SciFi Channel's Mark Stern describes the reveal of the Final Cylon as "organic and satisfying. It won't be some day player from Season 1." From TV Guide

Meaning...it's one of the more major characters who've been kicking since Season 1?

This should be in Final Five Flagellation.

Just saying.

What does he mean by day player? Is his meaning of a day player a character in the level of characters like Seelix and Hotdog? or does he mean a character in the level of characters like Dualla and Gaeta? Dualla and Gaeta are a little bit more important than Seelix or Hotdog. I am just wondering.

ohhh nice, dualla and gaeta seem like the most likely suspects along with helo.

Bad news for Seelix, the only candidate which still technically complied with all the apparent demands of being the final cylon. She is a "day player", no doubt.

Dualla and Gaeta are in the fleet when D'Anna says "only 4 in the fleet", and Helo is in the last supper pic of which RDM has said (now 3 times already) that the final Cylon is not in it.

I'd think since the miniseries, that's what I'm hearing.

And where are you hearing this? Care to share -through PM if needed?

Don't recall offhand, think RDM said something about it.

Agreed and moved. This is going to open up FC speculation.

Possibly. I have heard this mentioned before around the web, but IIRC I have not yet seen a link to the original interview or other source.

It would probably make sense though, if the reveal is supposed to be "organic and satisfying". Whether Moore really said that or not, chances are it is someone who was in the miniseries (not that it narrows the field a lot, though).

Hell, they could even bring a character like Billy back from the dead as the final cylon.

Read somewhere that its not going to happen. Thats partially because of scheduling troubles which is also the reason why Elosha was present in The Hub instead of Billy. Can't remember from where it was but it was a link that started from the forum.

have we previously considered elosha as the final?

/it's all running together for me at this point ...

To be honest, Elosha (as a spirit/ghost/soul) is not even supposed to exist if we take anything Head-Six says as truth. She said those who die in Kobol are condemned to oblivion. Nothingness. She died on Kobol. Therefore logic says she was utterly destroyed instead of going to an afterlife of some kind. Hence I always hoped Head-Elosha was a subconscious thing rather than a metaphysical being which I believe Head-Six, Head-Baltar and Head-Leoben are.

That being said, no I never considered her as one of the Final Five. Didn't even consider her a Cylon during the Seasons 1 and 2. Dunno why but she never struck me as having that quality (not importance). Plus I think her one appearance in Season 4 that came after no appearance in Season 3 and dying early in Season 2 would make her a "day player".

I thought that had been confirmed by Jane Espenson or somesuch. I also think Osprey probably threw it out there in sick-of-the-Final-Cylon exasperation.

Well I only listened to the Hub commentary with half an ear where it was said we wouldn't be seeing Head-Elosha again but she helped Roslin solve her inner crisis in a way.

Well, a more appropriate place for a brief resurrection (hah-hah!) of Billy would have been the riverboat scene in Faith, with all Roslin's dead family on the shore. Putting Billy there would have been a nice touch.

I had the exact same thought. I even wondered if the man with the brown suit was him till I saw him closer. Its a shame that (for whatever reason) that did not happen but yea. It would have been a nice touch.

Yes - I think someone somewhere mentioned that Billy was there, but alas it was wishful seeing.

I wonder if there'll be some kind of Judgement Day scenario in the last episode, you know, with both the living and the dead being sorted out. Exactly like in the last book of the Chronicles of Narnia series, The Last Battle. What will happen with the old colonial gods as well?
