This episode contains one of my favourite moments i.e. when Adama relieves Tigh from his post. The moments says so much about the relationship of the two characters and is wonderfully portrayed by EJO and Hogan.

Re-watch thoughts...
When Gaius does his hand exercises in the scene with Roslin, it's notable that Head Six tries to drive Baltar to convince Roslin to give up on Kara and order Adama to let her die. Whatever Kara is (Angel of Destiny, Herald of the Apocalypse), Head Six (whatever she is) seems not to want her to survive. Are the Head characters similar to the moment when Neo stops the Sentinel in the real world, the machine world and the human world crossing over?
Kara says to the Raider: "Are you alive?"
Adama's "f**k you" to Roslin: "this is a military decision, Madame President. Thank you for your concern."
The way Kara works out how to fly the Raider is totally hokey, but I love it. "Safety tip #1: don't touch that."
Why does Tigh collude with Roslin, giving her the info she needs to order the abandonment of the search for Kara? If Tigh sets himself against Lee and Kara, then he must know he's setting himself against Adama. Lovely moment between Lee and Adama though - "Combat: stand by."
And of course - Kara's return. "Star Buck" on the Raider's wings, the little wiggle. This girl returns from the dead like no one else.
Almost as good as Act of Contrition. I'm going for top marks again.

as profane/cynical as kara can be, she's got a big spot [for whatever reason] in that fighter jock heart of hers for the Lords of Kobol ...

This was an alright episode. I liked the problems that the pilots had to deal with - the atmosphere on the rock gunking up the engines and reducing visibility - they are nice nods to reality. When the US sent aircraft to Iraq during the first Gulf War, they had to deal with unexpectedly severe corrosion of turbine blades caused by the superfine sand over there. It is this level of attention to detail that makes BSG (RDM) such an outstanding body of work. I also liked it when people around Adama tried to get him to move on without Starbuck. It wasn't because they were cold-hearted b-------, they were just doing what they had to do. Just like he explained to Lee in Razor, when Lee was about to order the launch of the nuke.

I watched them both back to back last night, so forgive me if I mix up some of my thoughts.
First and biggest new spot was the scene where the two mechanics were dicussing the revelation that "the cylons look like us now". The more streetwise of the two said something like "everything has change. It is every man for himself now". The other one said "that is just what they want, to make us all suspicious and paranoid, and its working". This stuff is so subtle, you have to be on your toes to catch it. It is clearly paving the way for the same creation of paranoia and suspicion with the Eye Chips in Tigh and the others. Honestly guys, I now feel that I am on the high ground with this theory, watching everyone scrambling around down below, trying to make the pieces fit a puzzle that wont go together.
Some other great moments - Adama and Lee looked like two schoolboys being told off by Roslyn, when she went to the Galactica to tell them to abandon the search. Also Baltars concern for Starbuck being overidden by "all of this just makes me think about the fifty thousand women, ...and children, ................ and men in the fleet.
Another thing I am beginning to think is that I am gonna get more from this rewatch if I try to take in all the little stuff, the seemingly insignificant comment and situations which are all helping to build the picture, instead of looking for the big clue about final cylons, etc.
There was also a scene where head Six said to Baltar "the cylons donīt know about me", which might be important.
Great episode. I am really getting into it again. Late nights watching back to back episodes - marvelous.
And Starbuck had her prayer answered.

What do you mean, "now"?

Yeah - there was a bit of a delay before "and children," wasn't there?

I read somewhere that up until about now she's always expressed herself (not like that) as a Cylon to Baltar (e.g. "I don't remember seeing him at any of the Cylon parties"), but from here-ish she calls the Cylons "them".

Well, yes, that is the general consensus, but if you take the script literally she only got "a lucky break" after she'd accepted that the gods weren't going to help her...
"Lords, it's Kara Thrace. I'm running a little low on O2 and I could use a lucky break. No? Okay, just thought I'd mention it."
What were your thoughts on the Caprica storyline?

What do you mean, "now"?
Well, before, even though I believed it, I knew I was on rocky ground, in a tiny minority, and probably wrong. Now, I still believe it but with more conviction than ever.
Yeah - there was a bit of a delay before "and children," wasn't there?
........ yeah, and then an even longer one before "and men".

Karas thing was one of those interpret it the way you want things. I think she prayed and was answered.
I am trying to pay a bit more interest to the Caprica story this time, and I think what happens with the two Sharons will be important. Just as Chief ends it with Boomer, Helo and Athena are falling in love. Helo always does the right thing.

Thanks dude. It has only taken me three months to learn. I think they might be giving my own pencil sharpener next week.

Wiki questions:
With almost 50% of fuel reserves gone, can Galactica obtain additional supplies to keep her Vipers flying?
What use will be made of the captured Raider?
How many more Cylon spacecraft include biological elements in their design?
Will Helo now go in search of the “missing” Valerii?
Will he question why the Cylon Centurion left him unconscious in the restaurant, rather than taking him prisoner?
Did the Cylons develop bio-mechanical capabilities first in a basic form with the Raiders, before going on to develop the humanoid constructs?
