Came today (not out until monday though) and its go NO EXTRAS, NO WEBISODES, NO COMMENTARIES. What a load of shite. The only thing its got is the Story So Far which is only a few clips from the previous two series with a voiceover, its not a proper feature.
Universal really do screw the British :(

Well, this time I'm waiting for the US release. Although it will probably take until December or January.
I got Seasons 1 and 2 in the R2 version, and was already annoyed that S2 only had extras on the first half (and there are some great deleted scenes for 2.5 that are NOT online). There is really no excuse for this. Universal UK/Europe just sucks.

On the plus side the first 4 episodes (all ive watched so far) are a much better print quality than season 2.
I am most disappointed at the lack of the webisodes on the DVDs. There are events in the first two episodes that follow on from what happened in them, especially the Duck/Nora thing. You are left wondering who Nora is without them and you don't care so much for the character of Duck. Sad.

I still think that splitting season 2 into 2.0 and 2.5 is a huge frakking ripoff.

You'd feel more ripped off with the R2 release. It had the extras for the first half, but not the ones for the second. For no apparent reason whatsoever. Universal UK is just too lazy to do own work, so if it doesn't exist on a R1 set, they don't include it (despite the audio commentaries and some of the deleted scenes being online for example). But I heard that they don't just do this with BSG, but generally. And the picture quality is pretty bad in some episodes with lots of grain.
It's cheaper though. The R4 (Australia/NZ) set can be had for 20-25 Euros.

Yeah, the webisodes not being included sounds horrible. I didn't think the quality of the webisodes was necessarily extremely high, but it had some great character development. Duck was just some guy in the background of a few episodes (and Megabyte from the Tomorrow People); without the development in The Resistance, his suicide means nothing. And even more so with Jammer: I found his murder heartbreaking, and I just don't think it can possibly matter as much without seeing the agonized decision he reached in the webisodes.

Precisely about Jammer. I was sad when he died but now his death is meaningless, just a random New Caprican Policeman scum :(

Also the UK Dvds for season 2 were a terrible quality print. I sent several emails to Universal playback about the high level of grain and washout of the colours on some episodes and they were all ignored.
Why do us British fans get screwed over with poor quality DVDs?
