13 Cylon models?

Has there been any discussion about the possibility that there may be a secret 13th cylon model, like the legendary 13th tribe?

That has been a suspicion of some, equating the Twelve Cylon models with the Twelve Lords of Kobol.

It was my hope that the 13th Lord of Kobol was a mere human raised up by his followers (*cough Baltar *cough*), but with D'Anna gone by the next episode, and RDM's latest denial of any significance of the the number twelve, I don't think so...

I could easily see Starbuck and Roslin both being Cylons, with Starbuck being the 13th one. That said, I don't think it's likely. "There are only 12 Cylon models" has been in the story so long it'd feel like a cop-out to add one more just for the twist.

Unless the 13th model is unknown to Cylons...then there could easily be another without it seeming like a cop-out. 12 colonies, 12 constellations, 12 Cylon models. If there is a 13th colony then it opens the door for 13 of the others. Perhaps te 13th constellation is where the Cylon God (13th model?) resides?

In any case, it's fun to speculate. =)

I remember when I first started watching the show, I was dead certain they'd go that route, that there'd be a 13th Cylon and it'd be a huge plot twist. However, considering how little time's left in the show, I don't think they can really upset the balance like that. Plus, given that we'd have a season and a half of "Oh crap, who are these Final Five and what do they want?" I think it would be hard to sell the idea "Oh crap, there's even another secret layer to the Cylons!"

Yea, you are probably right. Unless there's a spin-off involved.

There is a 13th constellation in the zodiac, it's called Ophiuchus, symbolized by the serpent bearer (brings memories of Roslins vision of the 12 snakes on her desk), located between Scorpius and Sagittarius

What about this fallen God who shall not be named. How does this God relates to the 13th tribe. I couldn't even begin to speculate which character on the show could fit the profile of the one true God.

Nicci, I have seen a few mentions of this fallen god, but I think I missed it first time round. What was said about him? And why do you say that about a character fitting the profile of the one true God?
