TVShowsonDVD is reporting that both will be released on December 4th, which is later than I expected for Razor.

Well, originally it was said a few days after the TV airing. Now it's about 10. More than I expected, but not too bad.

I knew there was a reason I didn't pick up any of the seasons on Regular DVD...

...and that reason is that I'm broke. So I probably won't be getting these, either.

Arghhhh I still dont know to buy HD-DVDs or Blu-Ray. The industry is a mess, it needs to be sorted.

Blu-ray looks like crap, from what I've seen. HD-DVD is slightly better. Slightly.

I'm not convinced in either format. I think the current DVD format is more than sufficient.

The only movies that benefit from the damn so-called "High Definition" format are movies shot using HD standards! Anything else shot using non-HD standards will look like varying degrees of shite.

I think its going to be a repeat of the DVD format war (DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-RAM); there are simply going to be multi-format burners/players to accommodate both standards. I don't think the porno industry is going to have the impact it had last time though (VHS vs. BetaMax), unlike alot of people are predicting considering most people get their porno from the internet nowadays instead of buying DVDs and/or VHS tapes.

Sorry for the thread hijack.:o

I agree, Protostar.

As for HD dual-format players, there are already a few out on the market, though they are pricy.

Still, for most everything, regular DVDs work just fine. The only advantage in the HD format is really for television series; imagine putting a series on two discs instead of six. The savings in shelf-space alone would be worth it.

No worries about the thread hijack. ;-)

Sony and Toshiba should just get together and use the codects for HD-DVD on the capacity of a Blu-Ray and be done with it. All they are doing is stiffling demand with their competetiveness. If there was just one format then you can be sure that the demand would increase a lot. I've got a kick ass 32 inch TV and i'd love to see films like Serenity in HD and TV series like Planet Earth. However until the companies get their asses into gear ill stick with DVDs.
