View Full Version : Another final Cylon theory

This possibility occurred to me a couple weeks back. After watching "Revelations", I think it's correct.
The final Cylon will be Tigh & Caprica 6's child.
The F4 were different than the S7, and the final one might be still more different and special. The first child of Cylon/Cylon parents would be a big deal.
It sorta fits the old man hybrid's prophecy. "And the fifth, still in shadow, will claw toward the light, hungering for redemption that will only come in the howl of terrible suffering." Childbirth? The "hungering for redemption" part doesn't fit, but the rest does.
It would explain why the fifth is not currently in the fleet (according to 3, who could be lying of course).
On the downside, the various visions of the Final Five seem to show five adults.

It's a nice thought, but we already have two other hybrid children of some sort so I don't that this hybrid will be the final one.

There's also the fact we actually hear Tigh saying to someone they're the fifth in SciFi's 4.5 preview, as a VO. I highly doubt he's talking to an unborn foetus and expecting an answer, he hasn't gone that crazy yet.

Very good point. Now, I only heard it once and wasn't really ready for the preview but the tone of his voice was of surprise. Does anyone else agree?

Actually that's the one situation I could imagine him saying it to one of the human/Cylon/F5 children: "coochy-coochy-coo, who's daddy's little the Fifth? you are!" whilst resting his cheek on Caprica Six's belly feeling the baby kicking.
That's the real Saul Tigh.

The one-eyed soft touch, that's priceless!

Absolutely, but maybe also tinged with a bit of personal suspicion, as if to say, 'I always thought there was something about you, but couldn't quite put my finger on it.' I really hope it hasn't got anything to do with the quick scene of him with a Five-seveN to Adama Sr's head.

The next episode runs in seven months or so. Perhaps story time will have jumped forward by then.
Tigh's voiceover in the preview is one of the things that makes me think this theory is right.

but then the producers said the fifth has been with them from the beginning..the baby wasn't. and D'anna had no reason to lie about only the four being on the fleet.
