Polly Walker, who played Atia in HBO's ROME, has joined the cast to play Sister Clarice Willow. The Hollywood Reporter describes the character as "the gracious, eloquent and duplicitous high priestess and headmistress of the Athena Academy, a private religious school."

never saw rome, but based upon what i've heard about that show AND her character's description -- i'd guess this is a good fit ...
/mebbe not as good as having dude from jericho play the lead, but then again that could be the best.casting.EVAH.

I watched Rome and it was a pretty good show. Not the best but I guess there isn't much you can really do when most of the story has been written by real life. Regardless, I thought she was pretty good on the show and was good at showing different sides of a person emotionally and able to turn that on a dime depending on the scene. Good fit in my opinion based on what they say about the character.

In my opinion, they seem to be casting "Caprica" with great actors and actresses. Between that and what "The TV Addict" had to say about the script, I'm confident in "Caprica".

I don't like the actor who portrays Joseph Adama. He's ok, but doesn't seem to be the right person.

Well, I've seen Esai Morales in a few appearances on Bill Maher's show... his political leanings do compliment Joseph Adama's character and reputation, at least based on what's been said about him in BSG thus far.
I can't grade him as an actor, however, since I really haven't seen him in any production.
Was there something in particular that you didn't like about Morales? A past performance, perhaps?

Oh, gods, Polly Walker is perfect for the role she's been given. They really couldn't have picked a better actress.

The spoilers I've read about this series suggest that Polly Walker's character is scheming and manipulative. Yeah, that would be Atia :p
