View Full Version : What's Lee been doing lately?

The character seems to have almost disappeared, with only the sporadical appearance usually having a sly go at Roslin at a quorum meeting. From a character that could have once been considered a lead he seems to have slipped to secondary (Zarak like) character. Maybe i'm jumping the gun a little but has absence compared to earlier season just occurred to me.

Yeah, there is so little of him lately. I mean, he was annoying sometimes but usually he was cool. I liked him as a pilot and now he's working for the Quorum? I think there will be more of him now that Kara is back. Let's just hope that we will see good old Lee :D

He knows Kara will bring a Basestar. He waits and bides his time so he can strike when the basestar arrives and ram Galactica to it.
Kidding aside, its a pattern we saw with the absense of Roslin and Adama in some episodes this season. No need to force them into the story if the story is not about them. Plus Lee has become a civilian now. Hes not part of the mainstream workings in the Galactica, Demetrius or the basestar, nor is he part of Roslin's cancer. He probably will connect back to the main story though. For some reason I have a feeling his time in the Quorum and politics will not be as permanent as hed have wanted.

Yeah, he has just slipped into another story arc. He'll be back and in force eventually when the arc slides back towards him. I wouldn't worry about it, they wouldn't drop him like that.

I noticed the same thing. I assume he'll be used more in later parts, but that's just a guess.

To be honest, he's taking the roll that Admiral Adama had at the start of the series, before he got all cozy with Roslin. That of being a moderating force - it's the political extension of what he did in Bastille Day, upholding the Articles of Colonization.

Actually, Lee Adama was in Seattle at the Emerald City Comicon on May 10/11 signing autographs!
Cheers!

exactly right man.
Everyone has thier own destiny, path, and or storyline. All of them seems to be hitting on the same note, so I think Ron and Co need to tell whats happening in the story. It's the conclusion season, no more life is good and we are gonna just have episodes of the ppl on Galactica living out their lives in wonder of the future. The future is here, they need to have seperate eps to tell the story's.
As for Lee I'm pretty sure they have something planned for him, there is a reason why he is doing what he's doing.
Who votes for Lee being the Pres when Roslin dies?? I do!!! :)

Preview of Sine Qua Non indicates that Lee may be sworn in as vice-president or president?

He's playing politics --- doing absolutely nothing.

I'm glad he is out of the viper. He spent his time there, but his character has moved on and evolved. I think he will find his niche soon and flourish.

I agree. I don't really understand all the Lee hate going around. It was always been alluded to that he was meant for some sort of leadership role in his life, being a "natural" leader that he is. He did the CAG thing, and he was a Battlestar commander and lost his ship. Now he found another place where he can be a leader, or make a change. It makes sense in a character evolution sort of way. I peg him as the leader of the Colonials after Roslin dies.

"Apollo" never belonged in the military... he always felt forced to do so because a "man is not a man until he's flown a Viper".
Also, I don't grok the "Lee hate" either. He's doing his own thing...
It's not enough to survive, it's to be worthy of survival. It's also worth doing it on your own accord.

I think that he might become Roslin's assistant (if she comes back) since Tory betrayed her. This would be even good 'cause there would be more of Lee, although I still believe that Lee should go back to being a Viper pilot.

I don't "hate" Lee. Indeed, he was my favourite character throughout the whole of the miniseries and Season 1 - a good counterbalance to Starbuck. However, he never should have been given command of a battlestar. And god, every time I see Fat Lee, I just get filled with contempt. Saul Tigh would have been a better choice as Pegasus' commander.
I like Lee's decision to join the government - it's certainly something different, and more importantly, we get to see Roslin's administration from another perspective. I get the feeling that Lee wanted to go into politics anyway rather than the military.

In sine qua non Lee will probably be back, because if you see the trailer, you will see some events that will force Lee to come back..
